My first grade class received 10 iPads in October.  I have been spending a lot of hours visiting some fabulous blogs (listed on the sidebar) to learn how to integrate these tools into our curriculum to enhance students' learning.  I am also looking into the ways to utilize iPads for better record keeping and communication with parents.

Here is one app that I tried out to have my students practice asking and answering questions during reading (RL-1.1).

Here is what they did.
They enjoyed interviewing each other and listening to themselves.  This was a very easy app for my students to operate.  I know that they will be able to do this activity independently in the future.  I also like the way the website is set up as well.  This could be a great assessment tool especially for reading comprehension and fluency.
